Ethical Dilemma Review June 21, 2010 Salah M. Hawkins (Wilmington, DE) The product is a very informative text in the field of ethics in the criminal justice system. It would be great for any class related to the aforementioned topic.

Book was in great shape, as described online. Good price for a good quality book, will look to this user again for future purchases.
Good Intro Ethics book for CJ January 26, 2010 Carl Franklin (Cedar City, UT USA) I've used this book for the last couple years, and in fact I am one of the listed reviewers the publisher used for the last edition. I think the author does a decent job of presenting the material overall. Thbe book has a very pro-CJ approach, which makes it a good choice for students. There are other books on the market that take a more "preachy" approach to ethics, and you can tell the authors often think that CJ professionals are beneath them. That's why I like this book, the author is clearly writing for a profession she has respect for and it shows.
This has some good "real world" application and provides clear explanations. The best material is that a student can not only understand but also apply at later times.
I supplement the book with more theory at points, so I guess my only recommendation would be to strengthen that area. That would make the book longer, though, and would probably price it much differently. For what it is, this is a good introductory book for ethics in CJ. The text can spark a reader's interest in the topic or serve as a good foundation for future professionals.

I used this book for my crimnal justice ethics course and I did not find it to be very useful. The only purpose this book served was for my quizes I took through the course, otherwise the rest of the material was from my professor. Even my professor didn't care for this book very much either.
